I'm a valve fan because they always have a fresh take on tried concepts, but DOTA 2 brings nothing new to the table, does it? is there an exciting new game mechanic that dota 2 is adding to the genre? That makes valve a company that's not pushing the envelope on game design anymore, and that makes me sad.
- I can't see this ever becoming a popular spectator game if it always takes 7+ minutes to setup. this goes for HoN and LoL too. They will run out of money for prizepools at some point.

- I like LoL better just cause the minimap actually tells who's who, not some color dot.And for more conveniences like that. And can people actually back up why LoL fails? I mean it totally beats HoN.

- @lolakorean Again, it's because LoL is an easier game to pick up for newer RTS players, and is less hardcore. Because HoN is harder to play and is for the more serious gamer, you also find A LOT of rage when someone doesn't know what they're doing. Neither of the games are "Better", they appeal to different peoples needs.
- @UnverifiedUser True niether games are better, but the community kills it for me in HoN so that's why I prefer LoL much more even though it's less intense. Not a LoL fan boy I would pick up DoTa 2 if I really wanted too. but idk the price atm.

And i still say lol is a fail( source : wikipedia )

At the end of the day, you're talking about a person's opinion. More people play LoL over HoN because maybe it's a good game, or maybe it's free. Who knows.
